The Blackwing Volume 574 is a tribute to Native American art and the 574 federally recognized Tribal Nations in the United States. Created in collaboration with Kaw, Osage, and Lakota artist Chris Pappan, this special edition pencil features geometric patterns inspired by artistic traditions found across many Indigenous cultures. Each pencil is equipped with Blackwing's firm graphite core, the same formulation used in the Blackwing 602, making it ideal for writing, drawing, and everyday use. Volume 574 celebrates the role of art in preserving cultural identity, history, and storytelling across generations. A portion of the proceeds from this release supports the Cheyenne River Youth Project and its mission to provide enriching arts programs for Lakota youth on the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Reservation.
