The Hannabishi Kikko pen
The pattern derived from the hexagonal shape of the tortoise shells has been appreciated as an auspicious pattern representing longevity. It often has another pattern represented in the center of the hexagon and Hanabishi is one example. The chestnut flower, which has been used as a family crest of Japanese aristocratic class in ancient times, exudes a noble and elegant image.
