What's the difference between Polychromos and Goldfaber colour pencils?

Polychromos is the artist line: oil-based cores, higher pigment load and professional lightfastness ratings. Goldfaber is the student line - very good quality at a much friendlier price. If your work will hang on a wall, choose Polychromos; if you're learning or journaling, Goldfaber is plenty.

Which Faber-Castell pencils are best for school?

The Castell 9000 covers everything a class needs in graphite, the Grip 2011 is our most-recommended mechanical pencil for long writing sessions, and Textliner highlighters survive a full semester in a pencil case.

Are Textliner highlighters refillable?

The Textliner 1549 system is buy the highlighter once and swap in refills instead of replacing it. The classic 1548 superfluorescents are standard single-use highlighters.
