Peter Pauper Press
About Peter Pauper Press
Founded in 1928 by Peter Beilenson, Peter Pauper Press began with a simple idea: to create fine books at prices even a pauper could afford. Starting from a small press in the basement of his parents’ home in Larchmont, New York, Peter — and later his wife, Edna — built a reputation for craftsmanship, beauty, and accessibility.
Today, still family-owned and operated, Peter Pauper Press continues to uphold that legacy, offering products that combine quality, artistry, and value. From journals and pens to stationery and gifts, every piece reflects nearly a century of dedication to excellence.
