Kakimori Nib Holder Tokushima Indigo

A nib holder crafted from Japanese cherry and finished with an indigo dye. Designed for ease of writing, the 7-inch length fits comfortably in the hand like a standard pencil. Pair with your favorite nib (Brass, Metal) or switch nibs to suit your mood. Fits the Kakimori nibs as well as most other nibs.

The nib holder will gradually develop a true indigo color over time and use.

If the nib holder becomes dry, beeswax can be applied. Be cautious of potential color transfer from friction or beeswax finish. To avoid distortion and discolouration, do not immerse in water, expose to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for extended periods of time.

When removing the nib, gently rotate while pulling to avoid dislodging the nib mount. Variation in grain and color is typical due to the unique material and treatment. If ink is present, wipe gently with a clean cloth.

After rinsing, thoroughly shake downward to remove any remaining water or ink from the nib mount before reinserting the nib.
