Also known as Egyptian Reed Pen.

In 3500 BC, in Uruk, Mesopotamia, Calame was used to write cuneiform signs on clay tablets. Later in 2200 B.C. in Egypt, people began to write on Papyrus. Reeds from the nile river were sliced into very thin stripes, then assembled and dried under heavy weighs.

At the same time, ink was made by mixing lampblack with oil. Describing the hieroglyphs, Champollion remarked "this writing is fugitive, symbolic and phonetic".

Made in France.

Great for Calligraphy lovers and
